Production and sustainability

Winston & Elle's concept is based on the fundamental idea of transparency and social ethical responsibility at all levels, from production to customer. We work closely and on a small scale with our producers, tailors and suppliers. The production chain is no further away than being in our phone book. We always produce our garments in limited editions and then sew them up according to demand.

In 2021, Winston & Elle moved its production to Italy, however, a small part of our production still remains in Bangkok. Important for us is that in both places we work to collaborate and strengthen other small businesses. As we only make our garments in small editions, we do not sew in a factory, but our production is with individual tailors, seamstresses and shoemakers.

“Our vision is to create, Timeless, Ageless and Seasonless Fashion. Our garments should be able to be worn over time, restyled to work regardless of the season and be able to be passed down to the next generation.”

In October 2023, Winston & Elle Outlet opened in Sundbyberg as an important part of our circular process. The idea is to make use of previously unsold goods from previous collections and seasons. Any remaining stock we have afterwards always goes to various charities to give the garment a longer life and reduce all unnecessary waste as much as possible. In addition, we always encourage our customers to care for their garments for a long life and to wash at low temperatures and short programs to also be gentler on the environment. When the garments have had their time in the wardrobe, we would like our customers to pass them on, either to a friend or someone in greater need.

Furthermore, we are currently working on rental service, re-fund clothing service to customers and second hand sales in stores. We are constantly working to try to improve quality and keep up with the technology that is developing regarding sustainability in the industry.

"Design that is sustainable in itself, never goes out of style."
